Dear Friends,

We hope you are keeping well and acclimatising to new ways of working.

We would like to offer some support to IPS services during this difficult time by hosting a free webinar to provide general employment law information relating to COVID-19.

To deliver this, we are proud to be teaming up once again with Kathleen Bolt, an experienced employment lawyer and mediator who delivers our two-day Employment and Equality Law course.

We are welcoming questions in advance to help shape the webinar so please send these to Zak Palmer via [email protected] as soon as possible.

The webinar will take place on Monday 20 April at 2pm via Zoom and will comprise a 45-minute presentation based on questions we receive in advance, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session from anything that arises on the day.

We will cover:
  • What does it mean to be furloughed and the new Job Retention Scheme
  • Employment rights if you lose your job at this time
  • What employers can and cannot expect of you at this time
  • Employment rights if you are self- isolating or shielding

We only have 100 places available, so we invite one person from each IPS service.  Will be providing general information relevant to employment rights and issues arising from COVID-19 to assist you in supporting clients at this time. Joining instructions will be sent on the day, we look forward to seeing you there!
