Annual Conference Opening Plenary Reminder
During our opening plenary at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, Bishop Farr intends to spend that session discussing General Conference and its impact on United Methodist churches in Missouri. That session will be livestreamed on the Conference Facebook page and at MOACInfo.com. The recording will be available for you to view and download after the plenary at MOACInfo.com. You are welcome to invite your local church leadership to tune in online.
General Conference Legislative Recap
The recent General Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, was a historic one! The voting body got lots of work done and passed many major items, including a new budget, lower apportionments, regionalization, removal of restrictive language and more. Southwest District at Annual Conference
DS Rodgers-Weaver sent an email yesterday letting Southwest District Annual Conference attendees know that we will not be having a formal Southwest District gathering while at Annual Conference this year. Instead, everyone in the district is invited to a Springfield Cardinals baseball game on Friday, Aug. 23. More information to come about that this summer. Read more →
