Every day that we do not de-escalate the region, more lives are put at risk.

Ayanna Pressley for Congress

Last week I shared with you about the sense of community I witnessed at peaceful protests on college campuses in Massachusetts — and how misinformation and outside agitators are undermining this movement for peace. The students' mandate is simple: peace in Israel and Palestine.

We must not forget that goal.

With the Israeli military beginning to attack Rafah, the final place of refuge in the Gaza Strip, it’s clear: It’s long past time we leverage diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and push for peace. We cannot stand idly by as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza becomes more dire and more lives are needlessly lost.

Every day that goes by without a ceasefire is another day that Palestinians are subjected to violence, starvation, death, and destruction. And every day that we do not de-escalate the region, more lives are put at risk.

Our movement for a ceasefire is growing momentum across the globe — and we must use our collective voices however we can to keep pushing for a bilateral ceasefire to save lives, return all hostages, and surge humanitarian aid to Gaza. Please add your name to reaffirm that you’re with us in this fight.
