Fulfillment Fund

May 2024 Newsletter

The delay in financial aid this year has required many colleges to push their commitment day. With this date rapidly approaching, our students are dealing with an added layer of uncertainty in their decision-making process. The looming question of how to finance their education casts a shadow over our students’ excitement as they receive acceptance into their dream schools. The prolonged wait for FAFSA and CADAA processing exacerbates the stress and anxiety many of them already face as they grapple with the prospect of affording higher education without the necessary financial support.

Learn more about our work.

Students are forced to make pivotal decisions about their future without a clear understanding of their options. For many low-income and first-generation students, financial aid is a crucial lifeline that determines whether or not they can afford to attend college.

Fulfillment Fund is finding creative ways to ensure our students remain on their path to college. This summer, our College Access and College Success teams will combine efforts to meet the needs of each of our students, assisting them with their enrollment and deadlines and, ultimately, discussing their financial aid packages when they arrive.

Picture Perfect

On Saturday, April 27th, students in our College Success Program and alums came to Fulfillment Fund headquarters to attend an event to help launch them into their careers. Our volunteers and staff helped students with their resumes, cover letters, and mock interviews. Attendees also had the chance to take new headshots for their LinkedIn profiles while seniors joined us for a grad photo. View our event album.
