Dear Friend,
I’m excited to announce that the 2024 Congressional App Challenge is now open for submissions! The Congressional App Challenge is an annual competition designed to promote student engagement and innovation in computer science and coding. By encouraging and recognizing the talent of our nation’s youth, Congress hopes to shine a light on the growing importance of these skills.
Started by the House of Representatives in 2015, this nationwide effort allows students to compete against peers by creating an application for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, or other devices. We accept any programming language, including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or "block code."
The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high school students. Students entering the competition must submit their app to CongressionalAppChallenge.us by 12pm ET on October 24, 2024. The winner is chosen by a panel of expert judges and will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol, showcasing winning projects from across the country.
I encourage you to share this incredible opportunity with any future tech leaders in your life. For more information, please visit norcross.house.gov/app-challenge or email Dalin Hackley at [email protected].
