John,
As Teacher Appreciation Week unfolds, we extend heartfelt thanks to Delaware's educators for their tireless dedication. Our teachers have the challenging job of educating the next generation of Delawareans and sparking curiosity and creativity in future leaders. As Democrats, we recognize the critical importance of providing educators with the support and resources they need to do their jobs well.
Next Tuesday is a great opportunity to do just that. On May 14 voters across the First State can cast their ballots in their local 2024 School Board Elections! Hereβs everything you need to know. [[link removed]]
All politics is local, and our schools are relying on us to elect competent, pro-public education leaders to the school board. In the last several years, we've seen school board meetings derailed by partisan politics and national narratives that have little to do with educating our children and everything to do with imposing intolerant political agendas at their expense.
It has never been more important for us to make our voices heard in these local races that are often decided by only a few votes.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, and see you at the polls!
Travis
