Dear Friend,

Last week I had the chance to meet with local elected officials in the district to discuss various infrastructure projects in their cities. Read on to learn more…

We had the opportunity to catch up with the Mayor of Carver, Courtney Johnson, to discuss the ongoing levee improvement project that the city has been working on. For more than 50 years, the Carver levee has protected the community from flooding events. We were proud to help secure funding for this important project in 2021 and look forward to its completion. A special thank you to Terah and Nate, owners of Getaway Motor Café, for hosting us and sharing their story about the importance of completing this project.

Investments in transportation and civic infrastructure safeguard our cities and help keep Minnesotans and our economy moving forward. We were also able to sit down with the Mayor of Waconia, Nicole Waldron, to discuss a potential federal partnership on an infrastructure project in her community.

Also, our office is continuing to hold casework office hours throughout the Sixth District. If you or someone you know is struggling with a federal agency, like the IRS, State Department, or Department of Veterans Affairs, our casework team is here to help! Stop by one of our casework office hours sessions at a location near you or call (763) 241-6848 for more information.

No matter the chaos in Washington D.C., our focus remains on the needs of Minnesotans and the Sixth Congressional District. If you ever have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office, here.

Sincerely,
