Dear Supporter,

On April 1st, Members of Parliament received an automatic pay raise ([link removed]) .

With millions of Canadians out of work during this crisis, that’s completely outrageous.

Parliament couldn’t cancel the raise because MPs aren’t in Ottawa. But we asked you to email your MPs and ask them to donate their raises to charity until they can reverse this raise. You delivered. So we contacted every MP to confirm that they’re giving away their raises.

Out of 338 MPs, 120 of them told us they’d give their raise to charity.

You can read the full list of all 120 (listed by province and then surname) by clicking on this link:

If your MP isn’t on this list, can you take two minutes to ask them to donate their pay hike? You can look up your MP and their email address here:

We know donating their pay hike is only one small symbolic step.

We know that a lot more is needed.

You’ll be hearing more from us very soon about our next campaign to pressure MPs to lead by example in this time of crisis.

As always thanks for all you do (and stay safe!)

Sincerely,
* Aaron, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team.
