Deborah Ross for Congress

Hey there, it’s Deborah Ross. I wanted to reach out today and talk to you about an issue I care deeply about.

With costs of living skyrocketing across the board, more North Carolinians than ever are feeling the effects of high housing costs — and children aging out of foster care are disproportionately affected by this crisis.

About 25% of foster children who age out of the system become homeless within four years. Most of these children go on to become homeless adults.

I’m working to help North Carolina teens transitioning out of foster care find safe and affordable housing through transformative community projects. Will you sign my petition today to support my efforts to help our foster youth thrive in adulthood?

ADD YOUR NAME

Teens aging out of foster care must have safe and stable homes to help them transition to adulthood. Failure to support our youth who need it most is unacceptable.

That’s why I requested funding for 15 community projects for the people of Wake County last year — successfully securing $1 million to provide safe and affordable housing for people aging out of foster care in Raleigh.

I need your help to make North Carolina a place where EVERYONE has the chance to thrive. Please add your name to my petition now to support this critical project and North Carolina’s foster youth:

SIGN MY PETITION

— Deborah

In 2020, Deborah became the first Democrat in over a decade to be elected to represent North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional district. In her first term, eleven pieces of legislation she introduced were signed into law. These measures increased funding for sexual assault nurse examiners, enhanced judicial ethics and transparency, and bolstered North Carolina’s offshore wind energy potential. Deborah needs your support to continue the fight for fairness, equality, and progress. Let’s do this together.
