John,

At Washington Conservation Action, we set ambitious goals. We can do that because of the power of our community.

But the climate threats we’re facing become more urgent every year. That means that every year, we need more people to step up.

John, GiveBIG is a statewide community giving event and a chance for people like you to get involved in our work to advocate for and protect Washington’s environment.

Your gift today will be matched. [[link removed]] That means we’ll have twice the resources to tackle goals that will make Washington better, protect the health of all, and restore the environment we cherish.

Here are just a few of the BIG things we’re working on this year:

Protecting the Climate Commitment Act, Washington’s landmark climate law that funds crucial environmental projects across the state.

Working to elect environmental champions to critical roles including Governor and Commissioner of Public Lands.

Advocating for the cleanup of toxic pollution near schools.

Working in communities to increase wildfire resilience.

Strengthening our relationships with Tribes that sustainably stewarded this region for millennia.

Fighting for clean, cool and free-flowing waters to restore healthy salmon populations.

Protecting mature forests so that they can continue to store carbon and act as a home for wildlife.

These are BIG goals, and GiveBIG is your chance to pitch in. Will you help us reach our match goal of $5,000 by midnight tonight? [[link removed]]

Thanks for being a part of our work.

David Gorton, VP of Development
