Team —

As millions of Americans lose their jobs during this public health crisis, and families across the nation face financial hardship, the Trump administration refuses to let uninsured Americans sign up for affordable health care.

Last week, Trump made clear he wouldn’t allow a federal special enrollment period for coverage under the Affordable Care Act — a detrimental move for too many folks who have lost their health insurance because of the pandemic.

This administration is leaving millions of Americans to fend for themselves without the coverage they need to afford a doctor's visit or hospital bill — in the middle of a global health crisis. That’s just cruel.

We’ve got to make sure that everyone has access to affordable health care coverage, which is why I’m demanding the Trump administration open a special enrollment period for the ACA during this crisis.

If you’re with me, add your name to my petition and demand President Trump allow a federal special enrollment period to let uninsured Americans sign up for health insurance during this time.

No one should ever have to choose between staying healthy or going bankrupt — especially not during a global pandemic. That’s why this administration must allow uninsured Americans to sign up for the affordable health care they need.

Thank you, as always, for taking action. Stay safe.
