Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services is seeking feedback on the proposed changes to the Technology Assisted Waiver, particularly focusing on the modifications outlined in section C2D.
Starting from July 1, 2024, there will be consistent rules for measuring performance across all waivers. Additionally, changes will be made to the language in section C2D to make it clearer regarding who counts as legal guardians, active durable powers of attorney, and family members acting as paid caregivers.

FOR THE 2024 SACK CONFERENCE!
Hotel rooms are $150 for a double/shared. That includes the cost of the registration. A single room/private is $250. Those coming for just Saturday will pay $75 which includes the 3 meals that day. Service providers with multiple attendees are asked to send a rooming suggestion list to [email protected]. Please include if you need adjoining rooms or to be on the same floor. DEADLINE FOR ROOMING LISTS IS JUNE 15, 2024!

SELF-ADVOCATES: This is an election year for SACK officers. If you want to run, please submit your name, a brief biography, and the office you are running for to the SACK conference registration table! The SACK meeting and election is 7:00 PM Saturday, July 6th. Running for office means you must give a 1-2 minute campaign speech on why should be elected. The offices include President, Vice-President, Treasurer & Secretary.
