Team,

This week is National Nurses Week, a week dedicated to the nurses who work tirelessly in our nation’s healthcare system.

Over the years, I have met with and listened to nurses about the challenges they face in the workforce. Time and time again, mental health comes up, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic began.

I am reaching out to you today to ask you to sign your name next to mine and show your support for the reauthorization of the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act.

The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act was signed by President Biden in 2022 to increase access to mental health treatment for healthcare workers and is an important step forward as we work to address the mental health crisis facing workers in our healthcare industry.

This legislation provides hospitals and healthcare systems funding, grants, programs, and more to promote evidence-based approaches that support positive mental health among healthcare workers.

We must act now before this critical legislation expires in September of this year. Will you make your voice heard in support of the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act? Add your name next to mine on my petition here. [[link removed]]

– Debbie
