This is a presidential election year, and there’s a fascist on the ballot. However, regardless of whether or not Donald Trump wins or loses, he is going to empower right-wing extremists nationwide to gut American democracy and promote chaos.

This is why we’re saying what we’ve been saying all along: Democratic power in state legislatures is going to be the xxxxxx of the future of democracy.

We only have six months to do EVERYTHING we can to mobilize for state legislatures and achieve big wins for Democrats on Election Day. Can you chip in $10 or more to support Forward Majority today?

Let’s cut to the chase: Out of over 7,000 state legislative seats in the country, fewer than 50 state legislative races will be the backstop for democracy. These 41 seats are home to the critical suburban voters who will decide every must-win race.

Here at Forward Majority, we’re targeting Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. This is an incredibly competitive terrain. On the presidential level, Democrats and Biden won in most of these seats — BUT the margin of victory was slim, coming down to just hundreds or thousands of votes.

In 2020 and 2022, the margins were slim, and we expect to be working with even SLIMMER margins this year. (And the future of our democracy can’t afford to have the outcome swing in the direction of Republicans!) That’s why we have to pull out ALL the stops to support Democrats in state legislatures in these critical battlegrounds.
