John,
Thank you once again for your continued support of my campaign for Congress.
As the saying goes, “April Showers Bring May Flowers”, and our movement’s tireless hard work from April is bearing fruit as we start May. Every day in the district we meet a new supporter ready to upend the career politicians and MAGA dollars trying to strangle our district.
So we continue to grind and march on – erm, “May on” – leaving no stone unturned in our mission to bring real representation to our district and make John James a one-term Congressman.
I will continue hitting the ground to deliver the change we deserve, and I hope I get the chance to see you too, but until then, here are a few highlights from the campaign trail.
I attended the City of Warren Citywide Park Clean Up, where nearly 100 trees were planted! Lots of folks came out to clean the parks and plant trees to create the vision for the community they want! It’s another reminder that team work makes the dream work! Our new Mayor, Lori Stone is such a positive force in our community.
I had a great time at the Congressional 10th District Dinner. It’s so inspiring to be reminded how many of us there are who believe in our communities and that we’re capable of creating the change we want without special interests or extremism.
The team had a blast at the Utica Puppy Parade! Hundreds of dogs and everyone got along! Let’s take a lesson from that. And it’s a reminder that we should take care of our four legged friends, not Kristi Noem them!
I was excited to lead the Warren Sterling Heights Dem club leadership dinner! I helped launch this dinner three years ago to raise money for GOTV. There is no group or mission too small, and no day too packed that I won’t keep showing up. I guess you could say I am the energizer bunny!
I joined Michigan Families for Fair Care in protesting in front of John James' district office over fairness and transparency in our financial system. Credit card companies shouldn't be draining our wallets with unfair charges. That's why I will fight tooth and nail against big corporations to protect consumers like you and me!
And I was sure to make time to celebrate the new opening of Ship Michigan, our new neighbors next to our campaign office! I know firsthand the hustle it takes to start a business, and I’m thrilled to see them succeed. Neighbor helping neighbor - that’s the Michigan Way!
I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who has joined our movement, and it’s humbling to see our hard work pay off as we’re only beginning to grow.
But if we’re going to flip this seat, we need to keep the momentum going through the end of the year. We’ll need grassroots donors like yourself to keep this campaign going strong.
If you can, please make a grassroots contribution to fuel our people-powered campaign and make John James a one-term Congressman.
Thank you,
Diane
