Hey John,

First, I hope you and your family are staying safe. It’s been a trying time for Southwest Washingtonians, and I’m deeply grateful to see the solidarity, resilience, and community-care on display throughout our state.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed right now -- so I wanted to take a moment to remind you that you’re not alone in this moment, that we’re all in this together. Indeed -- over the past few days, hundreds of folks from all corners of the district wrote to us. And today, John, I wanted to take a moment to share with you some of the notes that we received; I hope that they’ll touch you as they did our team.

Craig W. wrote: "I know that this has dramatically altered the plan, but I very much hope that Carolyn continues to build momentum toward a win in November.”

Barbara B.I. wrote: “A couple weeks ago I got a phone call from a number I did not recognize, so I let it go to voicemail. When I listened to it later, the caller said she was Carolyn Long and was checking in. The personal touch from this campaign is extraordinary!”

Julie P. and Jackie D. wrote: “We are out in the Carson woods, still healthy with distancing and feel very fortunate to have the trees and river to calm our anxieties.”

Kitty S. wrote: “We are in your court, Carolyn, and are wishing you and all who support you to keep on keeping on and staying safe.”

We’re with Kitty -- and we’ll keep on keeping on until we get Carolyn elected to Congress in November. But, John, we can’t lose sight of what’s most important in the movement: you, and everyone who is powering our campaign.

So today, if you’ve yet to do so, we’re hoping that you’ll write to us and let us know how you’re doing, what’s on your mind, and how our campaign family can continue to best serve our community during this public health crisis.
