Two things happened Monday night that reversed Wisconsin Governor Evers' attempt at a safe and fair election. The Wisconsin Supreme Court overruled the Governor's decision to delay the election until June. And the Supreme Court of the United States overruled the extended deadline for absentee ballots in a decision that Justice Ginsburg said in her dissent will result, she fears, in "massive disenfranchisement."

We know gerrymandered state legislatures will do anything to maintain their power -- and now we know the Roberts-Kavanaugh-Gorsuch-Thomas-Alito Supreme Court of the United States will work to protect conservative power as well.

The Supreme Court's decision last summer that federal courts don't have the authority to rein in partisan gerrymandering was disappointing. This week's decision is just more evidence that the conservatives on the court will continue to sanction voter suppression tactics. Add your name if you believe the Supreme Court should be protecting voting rights, not enabling voter suppression.

We're seeing the consequences of these SCOTUS decisions play out in Wisconsin right now. The judge who wins this week's election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court will very likely rule on redistricting cases in the coming years. That's why conservatives in the state legislature, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States all played a role in allowing voter suppression tactics to prevail -- wagering the health and safety of Wisconsinites for another decade of gerrymandered power.

Sign this petition to tell the Supreme Court they should be protecting voting rights, not enabling voter suppression amidst a public health crisis.

We'll keep you updated as this situation unfolds,
