That’s why I applaud Biden for strengthening labor protections for temporary farmers! Under the new Labor Department rule, temporary farmworkers will be protected against labor law abuses, unsafe working conditions, and illegal recruitment practices.

I started out as a labor rights attorney, fighting for fair pay and safe working conditions for families like mine. My time in Congress has allowed me to further advocate for these essential workers and their treatment.
