Hey John,
I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our educators this National Teacher Appreciation Day. Our teachers work tirelessly to shape the minds of our future leaders, and they deserve our support and gratitude every day.
Before I ever ran for office, I was a teacher in Philadelphia's public school system. I know firsthand the impact that a quality education can have on a student's life. Education is the foundation that everyone needs to succeed, and it is one of the most important responsibilities of our government to uphold.
That's why I fought for tax credits to restore our historic schools. If our kids need to be ready for the 21st-century economy, our schools should have 21st-century infrastructure.
But here's the thing: there are extreme politicians out there who keep trying to politicize the classroom. They push their own agenda instead of focusing on what our teachers and students truly need. We need to put a stop to this, and I'll keep fighting for our educators every step of the way.
Will you join me in supporting our teachers this National Teacher Appreciation Day? Add your name today to show your appreciation for our nation's educators.
Let's ensure every child has access to a high-quality education and the opportunities they deserve. And let's keep listening to our teachers and giving them the tools they need to succeed. By supporting our teachers, we invest in our children's future and our nation's future.
In solidarity,
Dwight Evans
