The future of our country sits in classrooms every day, John. Our nation’s educators are shaping the next generation and helping them build on everything that’s come before us to make our world better.

I see this firsthand on my visits to schools across Illinois, where I have the opportunity to speak to students and tell them about my favorite teachers.

I’m reaching out today to give you an opportunity to reflect on the educators who impacted your life or the lives of your loved ones.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day, will you sign my card to show teachers in Illinois and across the country how much we value their hard work? [[link removed]]

Educators are the backbone of our communities and we must keep investing in them and their work.

That’s why I voted to help pass the single largest investment in public education in U.S. history, fight back against for-profit colleges, and provide student debt relief.

While I continue to fight for educators’ rights in the Senate, will you sign on to my Teacher Appreciation Card today? [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Dick
