Happy National Teacher Appreciation Day, team.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to all educators. Our teachers tirelessly dedicate themselves both inside and outside the classroom to shaping the minds and futures of our nation's youth, despite the obstacles thrown their way.

Not only have they taken on the responsibility of educating the next generation of leaders, they've also played a critical role in supporting and protecting our students. From the COVID-19 pandemic to extreme legislators trying to politicize the classroom, our teachers continue to go above and beyond what is expected of them, and we need to have their backs.

Growing up as a product of Manchester's public schools, I've learned firsthand the power education has in transforming lives. From pre-K to post-graduate, education has been the cornerstone of opportunity for generations of Americans, helping families reach the middle class and beyond. But here in New Hampshire, we have some of the highest rates of student debt in the nation.

In Congress I'm dedicated to easing this burden by making college more affordable, fighting harmful budget cuts, protecting teachers' rights, pushing to boost Pell Grants, enhancing safeguards for borrowers, and backing tuition-free education at community colleges and public universities. We need to support our teachers and classrooms while leveling the playing field so everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

This National Teacher Appreciation Day, I hope you'll join me in expressing your gratitude and supporting our educators. Add your name next to mine if you agree Congress needs to invest in our teachers and our schools so the next generation can thrive. >> [link removed]
