My name is Derek Tran.
I’m a veteran, consumer rights advocate, city commissioner, and small business owner, and I’m running to flip California’s 45th District – an ultra-competitive, Republican-held district – from red-to-blue.
You know the drill with elections. Before we know it, MAGA mega donors and their far-right, dark-money allies will try to swoop in to distort my message and mislead folks like you. So, before that happens, here’s everything you need to know about me:
#1: I’m officially the Democratic nominee in this extremely competitive district. President Biden won here by six points in 2020 and, with a strong coalition like ours, this is bound to be one of the tightest races in the country. Safe to say: The path to the House Majority runs through CA-45.
#2: My extremist, anti-choice opponent, Michelle Steel, sold out to corporate PACs and ultra-wealthy GOP donors. But while she’s been cozying up to corporations, I’ve spent my career representing workers against their greedy corporate employers – seeking justice for employees who were harassed, discriminated against, or wrongfully terminated.
#3: I’m committed to running a grassroots campaign – and I’ll never cozy up to corporations and dark money donors. But that means I need your help to defeat Michelle Steel, flip CA-45 from red-to-blue, and take back the House.
