John, Can you believe we're only two weeks away from election day?
We're entering the final 2 week stretch before the May primary, but before I ask you to pitch in $10 to support Progressives in DeKalb, I wanted to remind you about my top three priorities as Super District 6 Commissioner.
I talk a lot about what i've done over the last four years to make DeKalb a better place – I'm proud of laying the groundwork for one of the most environmentally progressive agendas for a county in the deep south, addressing the lack mental healthcare access in our communities, and increasing the minimum wage in DeKalb.
But my next term will be all about the future. Here's what's going to be at the top of my agenda:
1️⃣ Executing on the DeKalb Green New Deal: We must elevate the realities of the climate crisis, push for bold solutions and help enact meaningful policy solutions to protect our communities. This looks like clean energy projects, conserving undeveloped land and ensuring it is accessible, rooting our efforts in environmental justice and equity for all.
2️⃣ Improving Public infrastructure: Our residents deserve a functional and clean place to live, but many systems in DeKalb are aging and deteriorating. By improving our roads, sidewalks, and trail networks, advocating for sustainable housing, and expanding rapid transit, we can create reliable county infrastructure that works for all of our residents.
3️⃣ Increasing Access to Healthcare and Protecting Reproductive Rights: Georgia has a 6-week abortion ban and is 1 of only 10 states to not have fully expanded Medicaid. Our lawmakers at the top are failing us, John. We need to be supporting our communities and actively defending our residents from the far-right legislation that cuts folks off from the care they need.
John, we've already done so much great work together over my first term, and I've got my sights set on more for DeKalb. With early voting already underway and the election only 2 weeks away, can you pitch just $10 today to help us make sure we see progress win this Election Day?

Thank you,
Ted Terry
