Featured Funding Opportunities

EPA Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program
- The EPA will provide funding to replace non-zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission ones. The funding can also be used for vehicle refueling infrastructure, workforce development, and project implementation.
- Eligible Applicants include:
  - States, including U.S. territories
  - Municipalities, including public school districts
  - Indian Tribes
  - Nonprofit school transportation associations
- The list if eligible vehicles can be found here.
- All applications must be submitted electronically to the EPA through Grants.gov no later than Wednesday, July 25, 2024 at 11:59PM (ET) to be considered.
Public Impact Projects at Smaller Organizations
- The NEH is accepting applications for Public Impact Projects at Smaller Organizations to strengthen the capacity of small and mid-sized museums and cultural organizations. Funded projects can identify new story opportunities and implement new programs or support professional development for staff and volunteers.
  - Optional draft due May 8, 2024
  - Deadline to Apply: June 12, 2024
Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) FY24 STOP School Violence Program
- The STOP School Violence Program aims to enhance school safety by equipping students, teachers, and staff with the necessary tools to identify, respond to, and prevent acts of violence. The program includes implementing solutions like behavioral threat assessments, intervention teams, anonymous reporting technology, and other strategies to improve the school climate and prevent violence.
  - Grants.gov Deadline: June 12, 2024, 8:59 pm Eastern
  - Application JustGrants Deadline: June 20, 2024, 8:59 pm Eastern
FY24 COPS Hiring Program (CHP)
- CHP is a competitive award program designed to provide funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire additional career law enforcement officers to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
  - Grants.gov Deadline: June 6, 2024, 4:59 pm Eastern
  - Application JustGrants Deadline: June 12, 2024, 4:59 pm Eastern

U.S. EPA & NYS Water Infrastructure Webinar for Municipalities
- On Thursday, May 16 at 1PM, U.S. EPA Region 2 and the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation will host a webinar on current water infrastructure funding opportunities for water systems and municipalities in New York State, with a focus on resources for lead service line replacement. EPA, NYS EFC, and NYS DOH will present the various funds available, after which there will be time for Q&A.

New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC)
- The NYSBDC provides small business owners and entrepreneurs in New York with the highest quality, confidential business counseling, training, and business research at no cost.
- The Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region. Since its start in 1984, the expert advisors of the Albany SBDC have worked directly with 28,053 businesses, helping them to invest $543,926,495 in the area's economy, and create or save 15,244 jobs.
  - You can make an appointment for counseling by calling 518-442-7232 or filling out their online form.
