In the midst of this uncertain time, there are millions of Americans and over 100,000 Mainers who don’t have health insurance. Many more are losing coverage as businesses make the difficult decision to lay off employees.

Here’s the bottom line: This crisis is having real economic implications on every person in the country. Folks should not have to be worried about their access to health care, too.

To help those who are uninsured or recently lost their health insurance, our government should open a special enrollment period in the Affordable Care Act marketplace, making it easier for millions of people to access health care.
