Here’s why our race has become so important: For years, CA-21 was Republican stronghold under former Rep. David Valadao. And for years, Republicans in Washington knew they could count on a reliable rubber stamp to repeal Obamacare, gut Medicare and Social Security, and give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

We ruined that arrangement in 2018, and the Republicans are still furious about it.

Now David Valadao is back, and he’s quietly amassing a record-breaking warchest with help from Kevin McCarthy, Devin Nunes, and his corporate PAC allies. They are going all in to unseat TJ Cox.
