Modly flew halfway around the world to make disparaging remarks about a Navy captain who put himself on the line to get help for his crew during a COVID-19 outbreak on his ship -- calling him “naive” and “stupid”.
As a former Navy commander, Elaine knows we need leadership from top to bottom that will support our commanding officers and help them fight this pandemic -- making sure that our crews stay safe, healthy, and are able to return to the mission at hand.
In Congress, Elaine is using her oversight duties to serve as a powerful check on the Navy -- holding them accountable for taxpayer dollars and ensuring the well-being of our men and women in uniform comes first.
