Together we can do more to save lives and support inspiring health workers like Esther, pictured above. As a nurse in a rural village here in Sierra Leone, she delivers about 30 babies every month in a small concrete delivery room at her clinic. If there’s an emergency — if they are bleeding, or if the baby must be delivered via C-section — mothers must find transportation for the long ride to the hospital, which might mean riding on the back of a motorbike.
“In this community there are a lot of first-time mothers,” Esther says. “Most of them are teenagers. Some are as young as 14. Some of them are afraid to come to the clinic because of the stigma. We encourage them.”
When you help me reach my goal with a gift to Project HOPE, we can provide more support to health workers like Esther AND reach more mothers and families with lifesaving care and education. I hope you’ll take a moment to join me today to do even more to save lives around the world and help me reach my $50,000 goal.
Project HOPE’s maternal, child and neonatal health programs have been saving lives since 1985. We have made so much progress, but there is still so much to be done here and in communities around the world like Gaza, Ukraine and the Dominican Republic.
Please be as generous as you can when every dollar brings 2X the healing and HOPE! I have seen the impact that HOPE can have, and I know that your gift can make a lifesaving difference to mothers, babies and families.
Gratefully,
