Foreign Correspondent UNPLUGGED

Join us for the third event of Foreign Correspondent UNPLUGGED, a discussion series by the American Council on Germany and the Goethe-Institut. On May 9th, we will explore current political landscapes in Europe and the U.S. German journalists Annett Meiritz and Juliane Schäuble will discuss the upcoming elections in Europe and the United States. With over five years of U.S. reporting experience, Annett and Juliane offer unique insights beyond the Washington bubble.

You are invited! Join one of the upcoming free German language trial classes and get an idea of what it’s like to learn German in our online group courses with our highly skilled instructors. If you are an absolute beginner the A1.1 groups will be your level to start with. If you already have experience with the language the A1/A2 or B+ groups will be the right fit for you. Our learning experts will assist you finding the right language level.

Dare to Know through Reason

For all German teachers at US high schools, colleges and universities: Have your students dive into Kant's profound ideas in our essay competition, "Sapere Aude - Dare to Know through Reason!". The best essayists will be awarded language course scholarships as well as an invitation to the German Embassy in Washington, DC. Essays may be submitted until October 3, 2024.
