[link removed] [[link removed]] From far away, you might have the impression that lots of our representatives in Congress care more about getting on TV than getting things done for the American people.

Well, let me tell you, as someone who’s seen it up close: you’re right.

Way too many people in Congress seem focused on saying or doing the most outrageous thing possible in order to get attention. But I hear all the time from folks here in Oregon how sick everyone is of that approach. That’s one of the reasons I ran for Congress in the first place — and it’s why I do things differently.

For me, this job is about delivering results. I’m proud to be one of the only representatives to actually get a law passed through this dysfunctional Congress last year — an important one to ensure that the Grand Ronde Tribe here in Oregon gets land compensation they are owed by the federal government.

I’ve also delivered over $14 million in federal funding for vital community projects across OR-06 — from improving access to clean drinking water in Independence to expanding broadband access in Sherwood. And I’ve worked across the aisle, with both Democrats and Republicans, on legislation to improve access to mental health care, support our agriculture sector, and make housing more affordable for working families.

I’m making a bet that this is the kind of leadership people want — leadership that puts people over politics, and solutions over empty sound bites. If that’s an approach to governing that you’re on board with, then I’d love to have your support in my re-election campaign, because frankly, we’ve got a really tough fight on our hands.
