Please join me in taking a moment today to recognize teachers' life-changing impact on our communities across Delaware. Their dedication prepares our children and students to meet the growing challenges of the 21st century.
It’s also National Nurses Week! Having taught nursing for many years, I know both professions are labors of love. Teachers and nurses are the unsung heroes in our communities. Their deep commitment and perseverance are fundamental to our education and healthcare systems, and they deserve to be recognized for their impact on all of us.
I believe that the greatest recognition for our nurses and teachers is action from elected officials to make it easier for them to do their jobs –and as Delaware’s next Governor, I will do just that.
I’m dedicated to taking action to ensure that Delaware continues to lead in expanding affordable healthcare and mental health services, as well as maintaining the largest investments we’ve made in public education in history, all while guaranteeing teachers and all education professionals a fair wage. These commitments are all part of my vision to make Delaware the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
