As a RN, saving lives has always been my goal, after losing 2 sons to gun violence in 2020, whose lives might have been saved if those bystanders had the training to react. In Philadelphia, the gun violence and death has sky-rocketed since 2020, and if we cannot get the guns off the streets, then we need to teach and equip our community with this training as well as provide the necessary STOP THE BLEED® first aid supplied to do so. So, becoming an instructor, my mission is to teach, train, and certify my community. My community, moms, dads, families need to know, that this is why I am an instructor. To make the difference in the lives of others. Because I care.

Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

Connect with the Stop the Bleed Coalition

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
