John,
This Teacher Appreciation Day, we’re grateful for all of the work teachers are doing to end childhood hunger in America.
Teachers like Ms. Hobbs and Mr. Mendez of California’s Coalinga-Huron Unified School District create magical classroom environments filled with love for their students. In addition to helping them develop a sense of pride in who they are, they also put in the extra effort that makes our work to feed hungry children possible.
Will you give $50 or more in honor of Teacher Appreciation Day before midnight tonight to help us support the work of teachers and communities in the fight to end childhood hunger?
Despite the long hours of preparation and organization needed to implement school breakfast, dedicated teachers like Ms. Hobbs and Mr. Mendez agree that it’s absolutely worth it.
Ms. Hobbs tearfully recalls a time before breakfast was implemented in her classroom. She remembers a little girl who was particularly attached to her and followed her around everywhere. Ms. Hobbs could actually hear the girl’s stomach rumbling every day.
Our programs help transform the lives of children who experience that same emptiness in their stomachs — and it’s teachers who are our biggest allies in making that possible.
This Teacher Appreciation Day, will you help us support the incredible work of teachers who do everything they can to ensure every child in their community has the education AND the food they need to grow up to their full potential? Give $50 or more now to help us ensure every child in America benefits from a good education and the nutritious food they need to thrive.
Thank you for all you do to help hungry children.
