Dear Friend,
Today, Bernie Sanders announced that he has ended his 2020 campaign for president.
But while Bernie’s campaign has ended, the fight for our common dreams continues.
Bernie’s run was never about just one person or one campaign. The progressive movement he helped galvanize existed long before this presidential election, and we will continue with more grit and determination than ever.
This campaign, however, did reveal a vast hunger in this country for a better world with a fairer economy, real solutions to the climate crisis, Medicare for All, and so much more. This is the same vision for a better world that inspired the creation of Common Dreams as a progressive news site decades ago.
We are a stronger and more connected progressive community thanks to the "Not Me, Us” movement. Thankfully, the millions who were energized by Bernie’s campaign aren’t going away—but unfortunately, neither is the corporate media that resists change so vigorously.
