It’s Teacher Appreciation Day, folks!
I had the opportunity to call one of my favorite teachers, Mr. O’Malley, and thank him for the huge impact he made on my life.
I’m reaching out today to give you an opportunity to reflect on the educators that impacted your life, or the lives of your loved ones, like Mr. O’Malley did for me.
Will you sign my card to show teachers in Delaware and across the country how much we appreciate and value their hard work?
While signing this card is a small token of our gratitude, we still need policy solutions to address the fact that our nation’s teachers are severely overworked and underpaid.
Extremist Republicans are more focused on banning books and attacking teachers, school board members, and public education as an institution, while Democrats are focused on supporting teachers and increasing funding for public education.
I’m running for Senate to continue to fight for educators’ rights, but I need to know you’re with me. Will you sign on to my Teacher Appreciation Card today? I need 300 of you to sign on to send a strong message of gratitude.
Thank you,
Lisa
