Monthly Featured BookRose Spoke Out: The Story of Rose Schneiderman
This picture book for ages 5-8 tells the story of Rose Schneiderman, a young Jewish immigrant from Poland who went to work in a factory when she was thirteen years old. She saw that women workers earned much less than men and that the factory was cold, dirty and unsafe. Rose spoke up and organized support for better working conditions.
