Focus on your emotional well-being.

PPE GUIDANCE

If there is a lack of personal protective equipment at your facility there are a few steps you can take to address this issue.

Collect information in writing about what is available and what is not
Share information with the agency, in writing, letting them know of the shortages
Notify your local, council and district, and the national office
File an OSHA complaint
Notify your coworkers, get them involved
Grieve it
Notify the press

EEOC ASSISTANCE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

While the COVID-19 pandemic raises many issues in the workplace, federal employees still have the right to be free from discrimination at work and are entitled to work in an environment that is both safe and meets one’s medical restrictions.

If you would like more information about how the COVID-19 pandemic affects your right to request reasonable accommodation, file a complaint of discrimination, or navigate the EEO process, please email the AFGE Women’s and Fair Practices (WFP) Departments at [email protected] to get in contact with a WFP attorney for further assistance. In your email please note what agency you work for, the city and state, and what AFGE local you pay dues to.
