In yet another shameful display of cowardice and disregard for American lives, the disgraceful Democrats in the US Senate, led by the likes of Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, the Democrat Whip, blocked the Laken Riley Act from even reaching the floor for a vote back in March!
This critical bill, named after the tragic murder of 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley by an illegal alien, aimed to hold illegal aliens who commit theft, burglary, larceny, or shoplifting offenses accountable and ensure their detention until they are removed from the United States.
The Democrats in the US Senate seem to thrive on creating and exploiting every manufactured crisis for their own political gain.
In a blatant attempt to capitalize on public outcry and push their radical agenda, they are shamelessly attempting to pass a mass Amnesty bill. This maneuver is not only dangerous but also a weaponized tool, cleverly disguised under misleading names that often mean the opposite of their intended purpose when authored by Democrats. It's a deceitful tactic aimed at misleading the public and advancing their radical agenda while undermining the rule of law and ignoring the will of the American people.
Senator Budd said: “Bottom line: If this bill were in place before February 22nd, Laken Riley would be alive today. The House of Representatives passed the bill last week in a bipartisan vote of 251-70, including 37 Democrats. In a time of division and polarization, the Laken Riley Act brought both sides together. It is our hope that we can learn from this horrific situation and make some positive change. Let’s pass the Laken Riley Act today.”
It's time for the Senate Democrats to stop their dangerous games and start prioritizing the safety and well-being of American citizens over their own political agendas. We demand real action, not empty promises and partisan theatrics!
