👏 Celebrating Lineman Appreciation Day and Earth Day: On National Lineman Appreciation Day, I Make America and tens of thousands of supporters stood with each and every lineman who powers this country! Together, we wrote letters to legislators, telling them to invest in our nation's infrastructure. On Earth Day, I Make America supporters stood united. We sent letters to legislators across the country, pushing for their support of the PAL Act and PRECISE Act to be included in the Farm Bill, for a more sustainable future of farming.
📃 2024 Presidential Primaries: 2024 presidential primary elections have started! And, I Make America has begun to send out information about registering to vote to voter's inboxes. If your state has a presidential primary election coming up, keep an eye on your inbox to get the relevant information on how you can get registered to vote and when and where your elections will be held.

State Legislation Update Georgia
The Georgia General Assembly allocated $1.8 billion for infrastructure investment in the 2024 budget, which will create family-sustaining jobs across the state and allow for a multitude of new projects across the state.
The Georgia Legislature used House Bill 516 to propose a tax structure that would subject electric vehicle (EV) users to the same tax rate as gas-powered vehicle users; although it was not passed due to logistic uncertainty, it did urge lawmakers to create a committee to evaluate how to implement this tax structure. Indiana Indiana lawmakers passed House Bill 1001 to expand workforce training funds. The bill allows money from certain scholarship programs and grants to be used by high school graduates for training, rather than for education costs at a college or university.
Lawmakers also worked to expand access to childcare. Senate Bill 2 expands workers' eligibility for certain childcare subsidies and creates new kinds of childcare centers for underserved areas. Finally, House Bill 1277 was passed, which will greatly reduce delays in receiving federal money allocated to internet access. |
