Friend — we have an incredible opportunity to protect our planet and generations of people from harmful liquefied methane gas (LNG), by stopping any future export approvals.
The research is clear: LNG hurts our climate, our economy, and public health, especially in frontline communities near polluting facilities. But fossil fuel lobbyists are
flooding policymakers in Washington, D.C. with misinformation in an attempt to convince the administration to approve
even more climate-harming methane emissions.
We need your help to make sure that environmentalists’ voices are heard. Help us reach 5,000 signatures demanding that the Biden administration protect our planet and our communities from harmful methane gas >>
We simply cannot afford more climate-polluting LNG projects. A new analysis revealed that the entire lifecycle of LNG would be just as dirty as burning coal — and in some cases, even worse. Just one proposed gas export project would have yearly emissions equivalent to 53 coal-fired power plants or 43
million cars.
It’s critical that we stop new fossil fuel infrastructure to have a safe climate future, Friend. This past summer was the hottest on record, causing illness, death, and damage around the world. Continuing to approve projects that expand the United States’ exports of methane gas will only increase the danger to people and our planet.
We need to act on this right now — time is running out to save our climate before it’s too late.
Please add your name today. It only takes a moment to take action to demand that Energy Secretary Granholm and the Biden administration protect our communities and our planet from harmful methane gas >>
Thank you for taking action, Friend. I’m so grateful for everything you do for people and our planet.
Onward,
