The New York Times reports that, "For the first time in the history of the United States, billionaires had a lower effective tax rate than working-class Americans."
Donald Trump was recently caught on video telling billionaire donors that, "I know 20 of you and you're rich as hell. We're going to give you tax cuts."
Since the State of the Union in March, President Biden has used language we recommended to talk about protecting Social Security and making sure billionaires pay their fair share in speeches on the campaign trail including in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and at the White House.
CNN calls Montana Senator Jon Tester "the most vulnerable senator running for reelection." The most recent poll showed Tester behind by 3 points. Another showed him up 2.
Ohio’s Sherrod Brown is the other sitting Senate Democrat running for reelection in a state Trump won twice. His opponent is a Trump supporter who wants a national abortion ban. The most recent polling puts Sherrod a few points ahead, but Cook Political rates the race a "Toss up."
Polling is even in Wisconsin, where Senator Tammy Baldwin is being challenged by a self-funding Republican megamillionaire who has already spent $5 million of his own money.
Congressman Ruben Gallego’s race for Senate against extremist Kari Lake is ranked a "Toss up” and polls are even. Lake supports a total abortion ban and still peddles 2020 conspiracy theories.
In Missouri, Lucas Kunce is Democrats' best shot to EXPAND our Senate map -- winning back a seat from Josh Hawley that Dems held just 6 years ago. Axios reports that a likely abortion measure will give Democrats a big boost in Missouri.
