Here are some updates.

  • Today a federal court held a hearing in a lawsuit filed by the first Black mayor of Newbern, Alabama who claims that white town leaders are preventing him from taking office. Read more here.


  • The Wisconsin Supreme Court will hear a lawsuit that could have major implications on the availability of early voting sites throughout the state.


  • The Republican National Committee and the Georgia Republican Party will be allowed to join a lawsuit to defend Georgia's absentee ballot request deadline, federal judge rules. A union argues that the state's early deadline violates federal law.


  • John Eastman is temporarily prohibited from practicing law in Washington, D.C. This is the latest consequence the disgraced former Trump lawyer is facing for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

  • Black voters in Louisiana asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in a lawsuit over the state's congressional map. Here's the latest.
