Friend, I was 23 years old when I got the call - my husband Scotty’s Army unit
was ambushed by a suicide bomber.



When I showed up at Walter Reed Hospital, he was in a coma, and his eyes were
pierced by shrapnel.



With Scotty unable to vouch for himself, I was his only advocate. I
experienced government dysfunction for the first time while fighting for my
husband’s rights as a wounded soldier.



My name is Tiffany Smiley. When my husband was critically wounded in Iraq, the
government elite tried to hold my family back from the care we deserved.But we
fought the establishment bureaucracy - and won.



Since that day, I’ve dedicated my life to changing how government works for
veterans and their families.



Now, I’m ready to take that fight to Capitol Hill. I’m running for Congress to
secure the American Dream not just for our veterans and gold star families, but
for EVERY American who has been failed by the system.

sleep on the streets.

better for our kids.
