[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
   It's a special day!
Nurses Week kicks off today with National Nurses Day, a time to celebrate
and uplift nurses across the country who care for us and our loved ones
and have been leading the fight for Medicare for All for decades.

                          Many Want 'Medicare for All'
Our current broken health care system is bad for both patients and health
care workers like nurses. People in the United States pay more for health
care than anywhere else in the world, but experience lower health outcomes
   than other industrialized countries.
Nurses see firsthand how patients are often forced to choose between
taking care of their health or paying other bills, with too many people
rationing or skipping medication and medical care altogether because they
   simply can’t afford it.
In a corporate health care system, nurses and other health care workers
   are treated as expendable.
That’s why nurses have long called for a single-payer health care system
in the United States that guarantees comprehensive care for all regardless
of income, employment, or ability to pay.
