Friend,
On May 6, 2023, Allen, TX, was devastated by a mass shooting when a gunman opened fire in an outlet mall, killing eight people. He was armed with an AR-15 – a weapon designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. A weapon that belongs on the battlefield.
Assault weapons do not belong in outlet malls
... in grocery stores
... in schools
... in churches
... in offices
Assault weapons do not belong in our communities, period. But our lawmakers still fail to ban these weapons of war.

The inaction of our lawmakers has endorsed continuous mass murder, friend. Allen, TX, is one of far too many cities that have faced tragedy perpetrated by a gunman with an assault weapon. Far too many people have been shot and killed with an AR-15 – far too many children have been shot and killed with an AR-15.

As we remember the victims of Allen, TX, let us take action to honor their memories and stop the next tragedy. Will you join me in calling on Congress to BAN assault weapons and save lives? Please, friend, add your name to our urgent call for an assault weapons ban now. >>

It is unconscionable for our lawmakers to remain idle when people are dying from gun violence every single day. Their inaction is made worse by the fact that they know the answers that can save lives – like banning weapons of war from our streets.
|
I won’t accept this as our country’s reality, friend – none of us can. Today, as we remember the senseless tragedy in Allen, TX, let us also fight to stop the next one: Add your name to our petition to ban assault weapons now.

Thank you for taking action to honor the lives of the eight people senselessly killed in Allen last year.
