John, something they don’t tell you about campaigning… is that it all runs on belief.
You have to make people really believe in what you know to be true. And let’s be honest: That’s harder for some of us than others.
Nobody believed that a woman who became a mother of 5 before she was 25 could defy the odds to become mayor of her hometown. But I knew I could – and I did.
