In between court appearances, Donald Trump is coming to Minnesota next Friday to headline the Minnesota Republican Party’s biggest fundraising event of the year.

Just as we anticipated, the Trump campaign is making a full pivot to flip Minnesota red and secure his re-election. It’s on Minnesota DFLers to hold the line, and make no mistake: We have our work cut out for us.

Five consecutive polls showed Trump running dead-even with President Biden in Minnesota, and Trump and his MAGA Republican allies will spare no expense broadcasting their lies and attack ads across our state to drag us down and put themselves over the edge.

We very likely won’t be able to match them dollar-for-dollar. But that’s ok because we have something Donald Trump never will: Our unmatched legacy of grassroots organizing in Minnesota, and next week is our chance to prove that we’ve never been stronger.

To send the undeniable message that Minnesotans stand ready to keep Minnesota blue in November no matter what the Trump campaign throws at us over the next six months, we set a goal of raising 2,000 individual contributions by Trump’s visit next Friday. It’s an ambitious target, but ambition is exactly what we need in this critical moment with so much on the line.
