Despite his multiple criminal indictments, pledging to be a dictator on “day one” of his second term, and refusing to commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election, the Minnesota Republican Party just announced that Donald Trump is coming to our state next Friday to campaign for himself and the entire MN GOP ticket.

Let me be clear: As the Republican Party openly embraces and enables Donald Trump’s lies, fear-mongering, and personally vindictive agenda, they will continue to fall further and further out of step with a large majority of Americans.

Still, we have no time to waste. Every indication is that we have an extremely tough fight ahead of us over the next six months. Five straight polls have shown Trump statistically tied with President Biden in Minnesota, and the Trump campaign is openly targeting us as one of its key “battlegrounds.”

Trump’s visit to Minnesota next Friday confirms he believes he has a real shot at flipping us red in November, and if he does, he’ll secure his re-election.

As Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, I’m doing everything I can to sound the alarm and rally Democrats to the polls in Minnesota and across the country. But nothing we do is possible without your grassroots support.
