BJS seeks a Writer-Editor (GS-1082-11/12) for its Communications Unit. This position will be responsible for writing, editing, producing, and disseminating BJS reports, informational products, and other content in various formats and at a level appropriate for the intended audience. Job duties include—

drafting or editing print and digital statistical reports, press releases, articles, guidance documents, webpages, presentations, promotional material, and reports to senior officials

writing succinct and well-referenced summaries

reviewing content for factual accuracy, completeness, and adherence to departmental guidelines

assisting with drafting and editing responses to inquiries from the media, researchers, legislators, the general public, colleagues, and senior leaders.
