Last week, President Donald J. Trump hosted a rally in Wisconsin at the Waukesha Expo Center. Joined by RPW Chairman Brian Schimming and others, President Trump highlighted the failures of the Biden Administration. The recent pro-Hamas demonstrations on the campus of UW-Madison were a major focal point of his remarks. This marked President Trump's second visit to Wisconsin in the last month.
The WisGOP filed an amicus brief with the RNC and RITE PAC to protect Wisconsin's elections from illegal ballot drop boxes. This filing comes in response to efforts by the WisDems to circumvent court rulings prohibiting the practice.
“The rule of law should not be undermined by Democrats attempting to overrule a case which was decided just two years ago," RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said. "Wisconsinites deserve a fair and secure election, not a rushed effort to throw out precedent and implement a system susceptible to dishonesty and fraud. The RNC and our partners are stepping up to protect voter confidence in Wisconsin.”
In other election news, WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming and WisDem Chairman Ben Wikler discussed the upcoming presidential and Senate elections in Wisconsin at a WisPolitics luncheon on April 26th.
Chairman Schimming hammered home that the WisGOP will be proactive in turning out voters and utilizing every possible avenue to ensure maximum voter engagement. “We are not going to sit back and allow another party to take advantage of things that are legal and on the books," Schimming said. "We’re not doing that; we’re going for the win."
